I don't envy the dogs here who are outside in this weather. I often see little heaps of fur panting away, laying on the cement streets. Nearly every dog I've seen has been small, but today when I walked to the grocery store I saw, for the second time, a big dog. They do exist.My students made space suit helmets out of paper bags, and we had a walk on the moon in science class. Without the helmets, we wouldn't have been able to breathe, you know.

Are the dogs treated well? I guess in such a densely populated area small dogs are more practical. Not to mention that with the heat, too many big dogs would be too smelly! Maybe people could use space helmets to filter the air.
I don't really know if they are treated well. I haven't seen much dog-human interaction.
