Catching up

I haven't posted about my recent happenings, so here are a few tidbits:

I got a haircut. It's a slanted-bangs, shag sort of thing. Not exactly what I had in mind, but not bad considering I didn't have a clear photo and I went to the salon without a translator. The staff entertained me with their best English conversation and magic tricks.

Last week I worked from Wednesday to Saturday. The Saturday was to make up for the Monday lost to Mid-Autumn Festival (the actual holiday was on Tuesday). I don't think I've ever eaten so many moon cakes.

As well, last week several people from the school headquarters came to check the school. Naturally, that included me! One of my classes was observed. This should be the first of several more routine observations.
