Good thing the appointment was in the morning; it took about four hours to work my hair. Seemingly endless steps, chemicals in the air, and reading fashion magazines. Actually, it was less reading and more looking at pictures.
When heat was setting my curls, steam was rising from my head. It was good to let off a little steam.
My hair turned out a little different than I thought it would. I thought it'd be afro-ish, but that it'd have settled down with time. But no - this is a very tame perm. I should also add that the hairdresser wanted to thin my hair out first, so that's a contributing factor.
