Nantou: where fragrant paths lead

Early rise, taxi to Hsinchu. Waiting for our tour bus, I took a picture of part of a map of Science Park showing Lake Placid.

It took roughly three hours to reach our destination (Sinyi Hsiang). The tour is a beginner level hiking trek through plum blossom scenery.

We hiked three trails, stopped at a park, and also at a couple of places to shop.

Kafei plant:

The weather warmed up for the weekend and it was sunny enough for sunglasses. Luckily for us the sky was very clear too.

"Would you like to see a sea of plum blossoms?"

This is a cool park. There are plum blossoms and giant rocks to climb or sit on.

River run dry:

There was a senior high school dance competition taking place across from the Hsinchu train station. After grabbing a bite to eat we caught the train back to Zhongli.
